Course Overview

Our lifestyle has an impact on how well we age, no matter what age we are. This interactive workshop looks at the factors that can have impact on our overall wellbeing. The sessions introduce the concept of ‘quality of life’ and highlight effective strategies that promote wellness across the various dimensions, namely, social, emotional, financial, vocational, intellectual, physical, spiritual, and environmental. Participants will be able to know more about how wellbeing and quality of life are linked throughout the life course. The topics also include information of the ageing process and the relationship between lifestyle, leisure, being active, and health. Hands-on learning activities are included.

Who Should Attend

Adults with an interest in promoting their wellbeing. Individuals, groups and workplaces are also welcome to apply.

The Gerontology (GEM) team’s staff have experience and qualifications related to the fields of gerontology, sociology, psychology, health and wellness, and active ageing. Each member also has several years of teaching and workshop facilitation experience.
