Course Overview

This course aims to provide learners with the following knowledge and understanding:

  • The importance of Supply Chain Management
  • The influence of product characteristics
  • 80/20 curve for product distribution & inventory
  • Delivering customer value service elements & measurements
  • Material handling & strategies
  • Factors affecting warehouse layout & design
  • Efficient order picking, packing in warehouse operations and building effects
  • Supply chain integration strategies
  • Review of supply chain technology and risks.

 

This course is to be completed within 1 month from the date of successful registration.

Entry Requirements

Applicants should have at least GCE ‘A’ level certificate and two years of working experience in the logistics and supply chain industry. 

 

Those who do not meet the minimum educational requirements but have relevant working experience may be considered for entry to the Professional Certificate programme on a case-by-case basis. Similarly those who have higher educational qualifications but do not have relevant working experience in the sector may also be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Who Should Attend

This course is relevant to large logistics service providers or any firms that extensively perform its own logistics operations (such as manufacturing firms, e-commerce fulfillment operators, freight forwarders and logistics integrators). This is because the main focus of this course is on company-wide integration of logistics operations (including procurement and warehousing) and how these integration are carried out within the enterprise.

Assessment

 

The online quiz consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Unlimited attempts for the online quiz are allowed for participants to reinforce their understanding and achieve the desired learning outcomes.

On completing the online course and quiz, candidates can request for an online examination conducted by CILTS, via email at secretariat@cilt.org.sg.

The online examination consists of 20 MCQs to be completed in an hour. Result will be known immediately. For a repeat attempt - the cost is SGD50.00 per attempt, with no restriction on the number of repeat attempts.

Certification

 

On passing the module’s online examination, candidates will be awarded an e-Certificate of Completion issued jointly by TP and CILTS. 

Candidates will be awarded a Professional Certificate in Supply Chain Professional Development Programme by CILTS on passing SCPD modules 01 to 04. 

Candidates  will be awarded an Advanced Professional Certificate in Supply Chain Professional Development Programme by CILTS on passing SCPD modules 05 to 08.
